Covid-19 - Important Info

Following the unprecented Covid 19 pandemic, we put extra measures in places to ensure safety of our guests, our wonderful housekeeper and the local community. The feedback about these measures has been overwhelmingly positive and we are keeping many measures still in place to provide peace of mind to all.

Please don’t hesitate to contact if you have any questions about this.

What we are continuing to do:

  • We always change mattress protectors, duvet & pillow protectors each stay and all linen & towels are washed at high temperatures.

  • We are cleaning as usual and then disinfecting with healthcare grade products proven to work on Covid-19 (and are not harmful or have a strong odour), paying extra attention to all ‘touch points’ etc.

  • We are additionally using a commercial steam cleaning/sanitising system, which disinfects all surfaces. This is used as a final ‘belt and braces’ step after cleans.

  • All crockery and cutlery is cleaned as a matter of course. For added guest reassurance a ‘starter pack’ of crockery and cutlery will be in the dishwasher having been on a hot wash just before your arrival - You can make your cup of tea etc straight away in the knowledge that it is sterile!

  • The guest feedback book will have been spray sanitised before your stay (Covid-19 is thought to survive on paper for 1-3 hours)

  • The cottage will have been ventilated during the changeover period.

What guests can do:

In order to minimise risk of spread, it is recommended to remove outdoor shoes on entering the cottage

  • In the highly unlikely event that you, or a member of your party, fall ill with Covid19 symptoms during your stay you must make us aware and return home as soon as possible to get tested.

  • You will understand that there is more work involved with changeovers in these times so please vacate the property by 10am promptly so Magda can start promptly and please do not arrive before 4pm, as we will not be able to give access until then.

As detailed above, we take every care and precaution to make the cottage as safe as we possibly can, with the resources we have available. However, we cannot accept responsibility should you or a member of your party fall ill with Covid-19 (or other illness) during the course of your stay.

You are advised to take out adequate travel insurance, as we cannot be held responsible for bookings cancelled due to Covid-19 infection, or cancelled travel plans (except for by UK/Welsh government decree).
